Petite pizzas for toddlers

Petite pizzas are a great toddler food, or serve them as a snack for toddlers.

The toddler snack:
These 'petite pizzas' use English muffins as a crust, making them the perfect size for kids and toddlers.

Ingredients:

  • 6 English muffins (sliced)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce or salsa
  • 1 cup low-fat mozzarella
  • Any of the following healthy toppings: Canadian bacon, turkey sausage, turkey pepperoni, mushrooms, green onions, olives, onions, pineapple

Preparation:
Top each English muffin slice with sauce, cheese and your choice of toppings. Bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes, or until done.

Make it special:
Help your toddler create their own 'pizza shop' complete with a sign stating '[Toddler name]'s Pizza Shop'. Later mom and dad can come in and be served their pizza.

YeahBaby.com thoughts:
Place a pizza maker's hat and apron on your little one and take pictures for lasting memories. This recipe is low on fat and calories, and high on great flavor.
