The toddler snack:
These 'cracker snackers' are a perfect, fast-fix snacking item for your toddler. Crackers are topped with a variety of lean meats, cheese and toppings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of your favorite snack crackers (look for one with no trans fats)
  • deli meats, any of the following: turkey, chicken, ham or roast beef
  • deli-sliced cheese like cheddar, pepper jack or Monterrey jack
  • jams, jellies and peanut butter
  • any of the following spreads: honey mustard, salsa, cream cheese, mustard, low-fat mayo, hummus

Preparation:
Lay out the crackers and toppings, and let your toddler make his own stacked snack. Provide a kid-safe plastic knife for putting the spread on the cracker. This will help with coordination skills.
