Slimey kid

This kid activity that teaches a little about science and a lot about fun!

The kid activity:
Kids love ooey, gooey, squishy stuff to play with, so make them a cauldron of slime goo. Our recipe is fortunately low-mess and easy to make.

You'll need cornstarch and cold water. Simply start out with a cup of cornstarch, and add cold wateruntil the cornstarch becomes saturated. This should be just under one cup of water. Mix with hands. Add food coloring, if desired.

Set rules on where kids can or cannot play with their slime. Playing outdoors is likely preferred.

Variations:
Make games using your slime. Take 10 cereal bowls and fill one with slime. Without letting kids see which bowl contains the gooey mess, let the kids choose a cereal bowl. Once chosen, the supervising adult can turn the bowl upside down above the child's head. Someone is going to get slimed!

YeahBaby.com thoughts:
Nickelodeon made slime famous. So when its time for cleaning up the mess, blame them and not us!
