Homemade bubble recipe

Your child will never go back to store-bought bubbles!

The kid activity:
Kids create their own bubble mixture and bubble wands during this activity. Our bubble mixture creates the biggest bubbles and the wands create the coolest bubble shapes. You'll hate to pop these bubbles!

But first you'll need to help kids create the bubble mixture.

Preparation:
Combine the following ingredients in a plastic or glass jar:

  • 2/3 cup Joy dishwashing soap
  • 1 gallon water
  • 3 tbsp. glycerin (available in most pharmacies)
  • One drop food coloring (optional)

And you'll need a wand. Check out these ideas:

  • Pipe cleaners shaped into circles
  • Cookie cutters
  • Cool-Whip lids with the centers cut out

YeahBaby.com thoughts:
We know what you're thinking - that 'glycerin' ingredient sounds scary. It's not. Glycerin is a natural by-product of the soap making process that attracts moisture to one's skin. It's perfectly safe to play with.
