The kid activity:
Do you have any old board games which are no longer played? Rather than collecting dust, resurface these games and create your own take on a board game!
Recover an old board game with construction paper. Gather markers, stickers, a ruler and printed clip art. Decide on a format for your new game (perhaps a car race game for a boy, or a fairy tale theme for a girl.) Draw a game format, using stickers, clippings and other desired pictures.
Personalize the game with your family member's names. And be sure to include some fun game lingo, like 'go back to beginning' or 'move ahead five spaces.' Make the game fun!
Variations:
Make your game characters out from family pictures. Include mom, dad, kids and pets.
YeahBaby.com thoughts:
This family-inspired game will become a family favorite - of course!
