Many mothers agree, finding time to cook meals with a young child around can be a difficult task. But never fear, we have a great idea here!

Toddler activity:
While mom is cooking, have your toddler entertain him or herself by doing some cooking of their own. The trick here is to make this time fun and special for the toddler, something they will anticipate. To do this, we suggest buying some play pots, pans and other food items, and using some of your own. Also, get your toddler a special, personalized apron with their name on it. They'll love this!
Create a clear space for your toddler to play chef. Read out the "menu of the day" and have them prepare it. You can even have them "play" with real food, perhaps if ingredients need mixing. They'll love to help out, and it will help keep them entertained for awhile.
Variations:
Let your little cookie monster bake their own cookies! Join forces with your little one for this activity, making a single batch of cookies. Place smiley faces on your cookies with mini candies.
